This all-new Standard provides the industry's first consensus-based guidance for professionals responsible for purchasing, testing, listing, and using water additives for the purpose of fire control and vapor mitigation.

When added to water in proper quantities, water additives are agents that:

• Suppress, cool, mitigate fire and/or vapors
  
• And/or provide insulating properties for fuels exposed to radiant heat or direct flame impingement
